KY Repo Men Tell Their Side of The Story

Sept. 14 2010 - The three Kentucky Repo Men Arrested on September 8th for impersonating police officers appeared before Louisville, Kentucky News channel WHAS 11 to tell their side of the story.

According to the three men, Jonathon Payne, Charles Mullins and Jared Denny, claim that the repossession had been going very smooth and they were still at the residence with the debtor until they called the police to report that the debtor, Asley Meredith, had a warrant for her arrest.

It was when the police arrived that things got odd. Nine Louisville police officers arrived and handcuffed the men as the result of the debtor allegations that "they gave her the impression they were the law." The repossessors deny this and have in evidence cell phone video of a combative police that appear to have handled the situation unobjectively and in the words of the men seemed intent on arresting them.

The three repo men admit to carrying guns claiming it is their standard operating procedure for safety. They claim to have contacted an attorney to defend the charges as well as potentially sue the Louisville Metropolitan Police Department.
