About Us

2-20-11 - What started out as a site for news, contacts and references for Credit Union Collectors quickly turned into a forum for news and editorials for the recovery industry. I will continue to post topics and news on the collections industry. After all, the relationship between one aspect of the collections process and any other are inexplicably interrelated. I do relish the input of all parties involved as their points of view bring up important issues worthy of discussion.

This site is not intended to be a bully pulpit from which we will "slam" competition or slander those we do not agree with. We are all responsible for the direction of our industries and believe it or not, the trickle down and trickle up that could occur from our poor actions and that of our peers could cause catastrophic ramifications on the entire lending world. I strongly encourage the stories and editorials of our viewers, regardless of their opinions. We don't all have to agree. Reasonable minds will differ, but reasonable minds will differ reasonably.

7-5-10 - So far, it's just me. Having spent years browsing through the other Credit Union news websites, I always had a difficult time finding collections related material. It seemed to be a minor issue in the industry. When the recession kicked into full gear, delinquency, charge off, repossessions and foreclosure suddenly became the major issue but, these were reported as statistics and never seemed to mention the people who are dealing with it on the front lines, the collector. That's why this site was created.

Collectors have always been gregarious types by nature. After all, who else can relate and, it takes a good sense of humor to do what we do. I hope this site can help bring us all a little closer together and create some unity in our methods, thoughts, concerns and understanding of each other as we trudge through these difficult times.

This site will be what we make of it and your participation and support means everything. Please suggest the vendor registries to your repo agents, attorneys and vendors. It's free and with their participation, we can rate, review and share who serves us best. We would also like to hear what they have to say. Our vendors are welcome to submit editorials on current topics or best pratices. Every one of us has resources that we could share and we have plenty of room to do that here. Please submit your web links to laws that impact you and collectors in your state as well as any other resources.

Submit an editorial of your own. Remember folks, we are proffesionals and let's behave as such. Do not use member names or any information that could easily tie anything you submit back to that member or your organization. Privacy laws still exist here.

Thank you,
